Hello, everyone! After a few minor setbacks, it's time for another Wool Week! Almost everyone on Islandshire has pitched in to make it a success this year, and there are a lot of fun events coming up. Be sure to start checking my blog here for the few weeks, because "Wool Week" will actually last fifteen blogging days this year.
There has been some rather exciting news in the Islandshire sheep world. You all remember my pet Whiteface Dartmoor, Berengaria. Well, she had lambs this year -- one boy and one girl! So, Albie now has lamb friends to play with. I'd like to introduce Wilberforce and Molenick (that's Wilby on the left, the one with the grumpy look).

This means that my little flock now numbers five. And all Conservation Breeds! Berengaria and her lambs are longwools, as is Albie (a Leicester Longwool lamb). Sheepie is not a longwool; she's Black Welsh Mountain -- another rare breed with some fabulous fiber!
Hope to see you back tomorrow for the start of all the fun! And remember . . . Keep Calm and Choose Wool!
