Sis and I both love her fanny pack, because that looks so 1990s and just like the ones that we had when we were little. Our twin dolls, Jill and Silver, just had to have them. And the high-top Reebok-style sneakers were way too cute and needed to come here as well. Silver was nice enough to model all of it:
The soles of the shoes are the nice soft vinyl/plastic with the molded designs like the higher quality American Girl shoes. I do think the very soft vinyl fabric used for the top of the high tops is the kind that will end up drying and peeling five or ten years from now, but that's not uncommon on some AG shoes. These are really adorable and definitely a fun pair. The $16.00 price tag seemed a bit steep to me, but with a Rewards certificate, these were a must have!
Officially, this is called a Belt Bag, but whatever you prefer to call it -- it's cute! The bag itself is made of nice thin nylon fabric (very like the backpack from the Boy's Everyday Accessories set) that fits the doll well. The zipper works and opens to a very nice space inside. Joss' hearing aid case fits in there with room to spare and without puffing the bag up to look stuffed. The belt is nylon strap with a plastic snap buckle. Lots of room to expand the belt or tighten it, so this will fit any era AG doll!
Not sure when we'll be going to the American Girl store again in the near future, so I wanted to, at least, post the photos of the couple of new items that we bought!
Lots of photo stories coming up here, and be on the lookout for Wool Week next month!
