For anyone interested in seeing more of the store, here's a slideshow of almost 70 photos taken throughout the store. There are lots of fun displays there, and their historical dolls get a nice setup. We were there in the middle of the afternoon mid-week, so it was pretty empty (which is great for taking pictures). These are pretty much in the order that I took them.
With all of the Corona Virus stuff going on, and Pop working from home, I've certainly not gotten around to much blogging. Hopefully, I can get back into a more normal swing here! Let's continue with the end of the Florida Vacation photos . . . While down in Orlando, we got the chance to check out the American Girl Place there again. It's a fabulous store with beautiful displays, clean building, friendly staff and everything you could want for that American Girl magic! Nanea and Sun-Ho were pretty excited at the thought of finding some doll-sized souvenirs . . . not to mention picking up their friend, Zale (Elizabeth wanted to pick out a Joss doll for customizing, and we thought it would be fun to do it at a nice store -- vs. having to go through the ordeal of picking it out at the Columbus store). The first spot we visited was the restroom, because Nanea said everybody needed to check their hair and fashion accessories -- that way, all the pictures would look good. Get your camera ready, Sun-Ho! Straighten those Aulani Minnie ears . . . We checked out the Joss section first, heading to the large photo-spot area that's a giant surfboard. Definitely fun! Sun-Ho and Nanea voted it "really cool" and a great spot for a fun vacation memory. The Joss section is a nice, large area with lots of room for customers to shop and see the displays. There were lots of dolls to choose from and all the sets and accessories available. Here's a slideshow of photos showing the various displays in this area: Even Luciana still had a really neat little display . . . While Mom and Elizabeth went through a lot of the Joss dolls to find the perfect Zale, Nanea and I looked around the store and took a bunch of photos. We were really excited to find the Orlando AGP souvenir shirt -- and even more thrilled to see that it has the Disney World Castle on it! Of course, Nanea had to snag one of these for her closet. There was a nice open display with Melody's Piano, so Nanea sat down and tried to play a bit of the Kaliponi Hula . . . but a piano is a bit different than a ukulele, that's for sure! Even Kaya's Tepee was out in a cute diorama that allowed people to pose their dolls for some historical fun. Nanea enjoyed sitting on the bedroll inside, but she's pretty happy for the comforts of her Island House. Sleeping on the ground isn't quite her thing . . . besides, there isn't a closet (or even a rod) for hanging clothes in there. Soon it was time to check out and head off to Disney Springs for a bit more pin trading and souvenir shopping. Zale was coming home, along with a great little blue hat for Sun-Ho and Nanea's souvenir shirt. How nice that we even had a Rewards Certificate! Nanea made sure the prices rang up correctly . . . Well, Nanea and Sun-Ho are off to do some more pin trading . . . For anyone interested in seeing more of the store, here's a slideshow of almost 70 photos taken throughout the store.
