In response to the wish for large space, dedicated doll rooms or the chance to leave set-ups out for extended photo shoots . . . I couldn't agree more! But, we don't have a dedicated doll room. In fact, we don't even have a dedicated doll closet. And to make it even more complicated, we have three cats. Three orange male cats -- which means high energy and curiosity. The youngest is three years old (going on six months) and a chewer, so he and the dolls do not get along. That means that every photo shoot has to be done behind a closed door or while the cats are napping.
Many of the scenes for last year's Wool Week were shot using the American Girl Scenes and Settings to portray Bunty and Eliot's house. Each of these scenes was shot in the space of two to five hours -- either on the coffee table in the Living Room or the bit of open floor in front of the TV upstairs.
